Detoxing is a fantastic way riding all the toxins and impurities and metablic waste as long as its not using stimulates or diuretics that flushes away some of the goodness that we find in our typical diet.
It's also crucial that we put in all 90 essential builidng blocks that we need on a daily basis for the body to function correctly.

It is also crucial that once we detox, we go on a pH balanced diet so to prevent bacterial infections, viral infection and orchestrate a harmonious environment for all our 100 trillion cells to develop and duplicate in a healthy manner .

Water, water and more water and good sleep .

Holly, you are a pocket rocket! It's not your fault she felt the need to treat you like that. Girls can be nasty. Letting them know in appropriate way (which is of course nearly impossible when in the situation and feeling not like yourself) is what my mumma always taught me :)

It's very hard to know what to do it this sort of situation. Other than confronting in a cool and calm way (without bursting into tears!!)Its good to know that the problem is usually not you at all though, and some deep insecurity of the bully!

totally agree Holly! It is hard to do what you really WANT to do when your parents and friends are looking at you saying "you arent getting paid! you are wasting your time!". But you have to do what you love, even if it is "weird", and believe that it will evolve. And even if it doesnt evolve into a career, you are still doing something you love. Doing things for free shows you have got heart, and that you have consistency. At the end of the day, I think these things trump skills, degrees, and work contracts. Great writing!

Most French women drink black coffee (type expresso) several times a day (no milk no sugar). Many French ladies would say that it is their secret to stay slim because it boost their metabolism and supress appetite.
Personnaly, I do not drink coffee but green tea.

If you want to know more about the French paradox you're welcome to visit my blog. I'm also currently holding a competition to win a copy of bestsellet "French Women Don't Get Fat" by Mireille Guiliano!

I just love a can of coke! On a hot day, with a hangover or even au upset stomach - it's the fizz.
My grandfather used to work for Coke and we would have lots of it around at christmas every year... I always have 2 on christmas day and I know how bad it is for me but it doesn't feel the same without it. I wouldn't drink it every day but it is definitely my favourite treat.

Hey Melissa,

Thanks for your thoughts!

I definitely didn't mean to offend. On the contrary though, I think we are in the same boat. I think this movie was a little mysandric and I was trying to suggest that simply reversing roles and creating a loathful character who patronises men did little to empower women.

I'd think you would agree?

Cheers
Holly

I haven't seen the movie, and I think I understand the point you're trying to make, but I was upset by your line

"I am being a masculinist (opposite of feminist!?) , but I think that displaying any form of O.T.T abusive relationship in the name of comedy will just be never funny, regardless of the sex of the people involved and the nature of their relationship."

You seem to imply that feminists want to see comedy where men are subjected to abuse. Feminists are not about mysandry (hatred of men) but about the study and correction of power structures with a view to eradicating inequality between the sexes.

Just a thought :)
