The Story of Stuff

It’s Monday! And I know how tempting it is to stray from your 183 emails sitting patiently in your inbox…facebook, email, Perez Hilton….Oh the procrastination possibilities.

In acknowledging our weakness for delaying reality (ergo hard work) I bring you, ‘The Story of Stuff’….

I’m sure a few of you have heard of this project and the amazing woman behind it, Annie Leonard, a quirky health renegade if there ever was one. Her series of brilliant animations regarding consumption are mind boggling beyond the ‘water cooler’ talk inducing. Annie’s mission is to encourage us to consume…less. Hard to grasp when apparent happiness nowadays comes from consuming….the more you got the better you feel. In fact I would quite happily suggest that our pursuit for stuff is what is making us so damn depressed and upset.

Ok, so enough of my rant. If you haven’t seen this ‘stuff’ I encourage you to delineate from work procedures to watch one of her clips (my FAV is the cosmetics one)…failing that, leave work, at least  once, on time this week…she’s in Australia,  and the tickets are cheap!
