No Bake Brownie…need I say more?

Today …Something simple…and delicious.

You know you all have one….those slap dash recipes up your sleeve that can be erected in a matter of moments ready to serve ‘insert dreaded in law here’.

Well…these are mine…you may think me ambitious in serving up something ridiculously ‘healthy’…but …just trust me on this one.

The proof is in the pudding (excuse the pun) for this one….my boyfriend who claims to have no sweet tooth devoured half a tray before I divulged that these were not your every day brownies….he may still not know…ignorance is bliss I say.

Be warned though…these are ridiculously addictive.

Rich Fudgie Choc Brownies

1 Cup Walnuts

1 Cup Fresh Dates (or the equivalent dried and soaked in boiling water for 20 minutes)

¼ Cup Cocoa Powder

Method:

  1. Chuck all your ingredients into a food processor until it resembles a sticky sandy mess
  2. Scoop out the contents with your hands and press into a lamington tray (or a tray of similar slice proportions)
  3. Ideally refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm them up, otherwise slice straight away into your desired size and eat.

That’s it….honestly too easy and hand on heart….tastes like a baked good your Grandma made. I’ve even put an avocado in the batter to give it that extra creaminess and it tasted equally as amazing.

Give it a go….I promise you won’t regret it!
