An Ode To A True Friend

A true friend doesn’t just take from you; she gives to you.

A true friend doesn’t break your heart; she helps mend it.

A true friend doesn’t cause your tears; she wipes them.

A true friend doesn’t misunderstand; she makes sure too understand.

A true friend doesn’t patronize you; she guides you.

A true friend doesn’t belittle you; she builds you up.

A true friend doesn’t laugh at you; she laughs with you.

A true friend doesn’t speak about you; she speaks to you.

A true friend doesn’t give you the cold shoulder; she gives you a warm embrace.

A true friend doesn’t back down; she’s got your back. .

A true friend isn’t inconvenienced; inconvenience and you are antonyms.

A true friend doesn’t neglect you; she’s with you.

And even when the day comes for her to say “I Do”;

No need to worry…

A true friend won’t ever let a man take her away from you.

Femmefile readers, dedicate this one to your dear friends…
